Oct. Luncheon with Soho Sakai, RIJI – Ikebana Master
October Program – join us for our elegant Luncheon at The Presidio Club
Thursday, October 16, 2025
12:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Soho Sakai, RIJI, is one of the most respected figures in the art of Ikebana, the Japanese practice of floral arranging. A native of Japan, she has been teaching and demonstrating Ikebana in California for decades and holds the highest teaching rank of the Sogetsu School, a distinction that reflects both mastery and influence. Her artistry blends tradition with creativity, inspiring students and audiences alike.
We are honored to welcome Soho Sakai as the featured speaker for our October Program and Luncheon at the Presidio & Concordia Club. This elegant gathering will be our October meeting, offering members and guests the opportunity to experience her knowledge and artistry firsthand. Her presence brings both cultural depth and international recognition to our program.
During her presentation, Soho will share insights into Ikebana as more than an arrangement of flowers—it is a discipline of beauty, harmony, and expression. Attendees will not only enjoy a luncheon in a historic setting but also gain an appreciation for why Ikebana remains a timeless art form. This is a rare opportunity to learn from a master and connect with our community in a refined and inspiring atmosphere.
